An exciting opportunity has arisen with a fast-growing international technology and defence organisation that’s scaling its global bid and proposal function.

The business is building serious momentum across Europe, North America, the Middle East, North Africa, and APAC, and they’re now looking for a hands-on, driven Captures & Proposal Manager to take ownership of international bid activity and help double their global bid output in 2026.

The Role

You’ll be responsible for leading multiple, high-value bids simultaneously (typically 6–8 at any time) across government and commercial markets.

This role is a blend of strategic capture leadership and practical proposal execution - ideal for someone who can roll up their sleeves and get things over the line.

You’ll work closely with a high-performing U.S. capture team while serving as the key international contact, ensuring time-zone coverage and collaboration for opportunities across EMEA and APAC.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage the full lifecycle of international bids, qualification, strategy, writing, coordination, and submission.
  • Develop win strategies and price-to-win models across complex, multi-region opportunities.
  • Drive proposal writing, storytelling, and compliance, getting high-quality bids out the door on time.
  • Collaborate with technical and business development teams to shape compelling, customer-focused solutions.
  • Build strong working relationships with the U.S. capture and proposal function, aligning tools, processes and AI-based workflows.
  • Contribute to the development of an AI-driven proposal toolkit and content library, tailored for international markets.

What We’re Looking For

  • 5+ years’ experience in capture management, bid management, or business development.
  • Proven success delivering and writing winning proposals within government, defence or technology sectors.
  • Experienced in managing multiple bids simultaneously in dynamic environments.
  • Working knowledge of government procurement frameworks
  • Skilled with AI-enabled proposal tools
  • A self-starter: autonomous, accountable, and hungry to make things happen.
